Sam Hunt completed an entertainment-filled week of fun on the Carnival Splendor ship by performing a full show for the cruise stop in Cozumel. The Carnival LIVE concert series has previously included musical entertainment from Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts and many others.
Hunt stated in regards to his first headlining show for Carnival, “We haven’t played in about a month now; throughout the summer we played constantly every week. There was something about last night, having had the break for several weeks, that made it that much more exciting. I didn’t feel like I was working at all, I felt like I was part of the cruise and hanging out with everybody.”
The Carnival cruise line has carried 4.5 million guests a year on 25 ships and offers a variety of activities for children and adults. Select media was invited to sail on the Carnival Splendor which held a piano bar, nightly musical shows from the ship’s performers, plus the Cloud 9 Spa, pools, twisting slide and more.
The Carnival line also offers excursions during the trip; on the Splendor, ship guests were treated to stops in Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman Island; and Cozumel, Mexico. Each excursion had different choices such as swimming with stingrays, relaxing on a private beach or enjoying a hike and ride down Dunn River Falls in Jamaica.
When the ship docked in Cozumel, we chatted with Sam Hunt about his experience performing on the Carnival ships plus his new music coming soon. Hunt performed on Carnival’s Liberty ship before he came to Splendor the following night.
