The sold-out Brett Young Caliville Tour Stop in Nashville solidified the rising country star with his fans. But before owning the Marathon Music Works stage on Friday night (11/17), his tour mate, Carly Pearce, entertained fans with her sweet Southern styled voice by performing tunes from her latest album “Every Little Thing,” which is also the title of her #1 song. Pearce thanked the fans for their loyal support and discussed her Kentucky roots plus determination to have a musical career. Pearce sashayed around the stage singing her latest album’s songs including “Hide The Wine.” But before she launched into her #1 hit, her label group along with BMLG’s CEO Scott Borchetta marked the momentous occasion by presenting her the official plaque celebrating the tune’s rise to the top.

Closing out the show Pearce gave tribute to her her Dolly Parton by singing a variation of “9 to 5” as a nice slower groove.

Brett Young then followed Pearce’s act by opening his set playing California themed songs which was befitting for the tour name. The Californian Country singer then kicked off the show with a ton of energy. Having two #1’s himself (Sleep Without You and In Case You Didn’t Know), Young performed his hits plus his own debut album songs. Young then covered Brad Paisley’s Whiskey Lullaby and brought out Pearce to perform the Alison Krauss part of the duet. Both voices were perfectly meshed together on the heart-wrenching song. Young also brought out fellow artist friend, Gavin DeGraw, to discuss their friendship while on-stage.

“Getting to play a sold-out show on my first ever headlining tour here in Nashville was really special for me,” Young said. “It was awesome to have so many friends there, and getting to bring Gavin out was icing on the cake. He’s one of the reasons I’m making music, so it all feels very full circle.”
