This afternoon, heartland rocker, country-touring-powerhouse Pat Green announced he has plans to release a steady stream of new music in the coming months. First on deck is perfect for Summer single “Friday’s Comin.’” The song will be available at all digital service providers on Friday, July 20 and will go for adds at U.S. Country radio on Monday, July 23.
The song was recorded at Fort Worth Sound and co-written by Green along with Zane Williams who’s credits include Pat’s #1 smash “While I Was Away.” Green’s longtime drummer Justin Pollard was tapped to produce the track, helping to infuse the energy of Pat’s live show into the sound.
The single showcases Green’s lighthearted take on the weekly stresses of life. The three-time Grammy nominee has a knack for writing songs that resonate with fans because they live every word.
The fans sing the words back to him in chorus week after week at packed shows nationwide. With a track record of selling out venues from New York to Los Angeles, Green’s live shows are a high-energy roller coaster that takes listeners on a much needed 90-minute detour from the doldrums of Monday through Friday living. “Friday’s Comin’” is a new extension of that familiar theme…” damn the torpedoes, pour a little Tito’s,” and is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
