Although ABC pulled the plug on the television show Nashville, this may not be the end for the hit show set in Music City. Renewing the show on another network will no doubt tie up lose ends on the dramatic show not only for fans, but for the cast as well who was blindsided by the sudden cancellation. Charles Esten who plays Deacon on the show told Storme Warren that he found out about the cancellation via text nearly the same time it went viral. Esten, who had previously appeared in shows such as Whose Line is it Anyway? is thankful for the opportunity to have worked on 4 seasons of the Nashville hit, telling Warren, “For me, the biggest feeling, honestly … that keeps running through me … is that feeling of gratitude. I’ve been an actor for a long time. And I had, maybe at my age, given up thinking I would get a role like this or a show like this. In fact, I didn’t even know such a thing existed — it didn’t really until Nashville. I think there was a certain magic in it”.

Despite having filmed an alternate ending just incase of a cancellation, Lionsgate took to Twitter to confirm that they are looking for a new home for the series by writing to fans, “#Nashies, we are working hard to find a new home for your favorite show! Thank you for your support & keep tweeting #BringBackNashville.”
