Deana Carter is set to perform the In Memoriam tribute at the 2nd Annual Carney Awards, to be held Sunday, October 30, at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.
Named in honor of the late Oscar-winning and six-time Emmy-winning actor Art Carney, the Carney Awards recognizes exceptional achievement in character acting. The Carney Award is presented to those character actors who have appeared in dozens of films and television shows and although people may not know their names, everyone knows their faces. Fred Willard will host, and presenters include Ed Asner, Joe Mantegna, Julie Hagerty, Mark Boone Jr. and Zane Lasky.
The winners were chosen by the voting members of the Board of Directors which consists of a diverse group of industry professionals including actors, directors, producers and studio heads. For more information, visit www.thecarneyawards.com.
