Martina McBride partnered with a local food bank in Poplar Bluff, Missouri to feed over 300 people before her show at Black River Coliseum on October 14.
McBride’s crew sent food to the Bread Shed food bank, where it was distributed to hungry people. According to a news release, the Poplar Bluff area has been hit hard with economic downturn. McBride’s charity initiative, Team Music is Love, was also accepting donations for the Southeast Missouri Food Bank during her concert.
On her Instagram, McBride wrote, “This is just one example if the many things #TeamMusicIsLove will be doing at stops along the tour to help the local communities. I’m so proud of this team and it’s volunteers as they embrace the spirit of this tour and unleash love in this crazy world we are living in. We definitely need all the love and positivity we can get right now.”
McBride is currently on the Love Unleashed Tour, which runs through December 9. For tour dates and information, visit her website here.
