Last night (09/20), a documentary film was released on the two years of Joey and Rory Feek’s lives which will also be viewed in select theaters again on October 6th.
Rory Feek who helped make the film possible about his late wife’s life wrote on his blog that the movie starts a few weeks before their second daughter Indiana was born and runs up until this past spring.
Joey Feek passed away on March 4th after a 2 year cancer battle. She chose to spend her last days in her hometown of Alexandria, Indiana.
“A film about our lives during that two-and-a-half years. Our love. Our struggles. And even more so, about our faith in God and our hope in a plan… bigger than the one we can see with our own eyes,” Rory wrote.
He said the film, called “To Joey, With Love,” brought him to tears. He has already shared it with Joey’s family, who said they cried with him and “felt the power of watching her come to life again.”
“I have not cried beside Joey’s grave,” he wrote. “I have talked and prayed and sat still beside her cross for hours, but not really cried. Not until yesterday when I shared this trailer with her, or at least tried to. For our anniversary. And I wept like a baby.”
