jon-jones-lila-1This week the Eli Young Band has another reason to celebrate as they announce the birth of the newest member of the family.   Bass player Jon Jones and his wife Sarah welcomed their second child into the world early on Wednesday morning when their daughter, Lila Pascale Jones was born.  Lila entered the world at 1:30 am in Wednesday morning in Fort Worth Texas, measuring 19 1/2 inches long weighing 7 pounds.  The happy family of four (along with their 4 year old son Hudson), was together resting at home by 6:00 am that morning.  Mom, baby and family are doing well.
“We are overwhelmed with happiness and are already so in love with little Lila. Our family feels complete as we start this new chapter of our lives. The Eli Young Band family just got a little bigger and a little better,” said the happy father.
In an exclusive with People, the couple explained they chose an out of the hospital water birth for both of their children after watching The Business of Being Born.  “While pregnant with our son almost four years ago, I felt like just another number with my OB, then stumbled upon the documentary The Business of Being Born,” Sarah told People.com  “I was fascinated with the possibility of natural childbirth with a midwife.  After doing our research, we parted ways with our OB, and were in the caring hands of an amazing midwife and a Douala at a birthing center.”  To read the complete story click HERE.
Jones has enjoyed time off this week with his family and will resume touring with his band mates soon.  Tomorrow night Eli Young Band will take the stage in Atlantic City.  In the next two weeks the band will cross the nation on tour making stops in Vegas, Kansas City, Colorado Springs and Fort Myers before heading to Orlando where they will perform at the AutoNation Cure Bowl at Orlando’s Citrus Bowl Stadium on December 17th. The band will then return to Texas to spend the holidays with their families.  They will cap off an incredible year as they headline a sold out show on New Year’s Eve at Billy Bob’s Texas.
